A two-story wrap-around porch with Tuscan columns and balustrade helped soften the large brick mass and provided a welcoming vista. Contributing to the visual splendor was the oversized oak front door surrounded by beveled glass sidelights and the address defined by gold numerals within the transom. By contrast, the two back service porches were Queen Anne in style. At approximately mid-century, the larger back porch was enclosed as a laundry.
