Fan-shaped stained glass, back parlor.
This was the period equivalent of a den – a cozy place where family relaxed with amusements – music, reading, stereoscope viewing, games, needlework, painting and such.  The room includes a long window seat and fan-shaped stained glass.  In some homes of the period, this would also have been a gentlemen’s smoking, billiards or trophy room decorated in a Turkish theme.
